LaLiga is Spain’s highest division of men’s professional club football, established in 1929. Bringing together 20 clubs from across Spain, including internationally renowned teams such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid, the competition follows a home-and-away double round-robin format, with each club playing 38 matches across the season. The team accumulating the most points is crowned Spanish national champion, while the final standings determine qualification places for UEFA club competitions and the relegation of the bottom three clubs to the second-tier Segunda División.
