The Canadian Open is a professional tennis tournament for women and men. Since 1982, in every even-numbered year the women’s tournament has been held in Montreal, and in odd-numbered years in Toronto. Likewise, the men’s tournament is held alternately, only in the opposite order: Montreal in odd-numbered years and Toronto in even-numbered years. The tournament is held three weeks before the US Open.
